Hi, I have a chicken that has been limping for about 3 weeks now, I've never experienced this with any of my hens, we used to have a rooster that would peck them all, but I guess the rooster jumped on her and she's limping now, can you please respond ASAP I don't know what to do with the poor little hen?

One time that happend to me and I got little branches mended them to the foot and tied with some yarn. It worked for me. And healed up pretty well

Have you dipped its beak in the water so it knows where it is? Was it eating and drinking ok before this happened? You could put some electrolytes in the water to see if this perks it up. How old is the chick? What do you have on the brooder floor? From your pic it looks shiny and slippery. It needs something they can grip too, shiny and slippery can cause splay leg. What heat source do you have? Is it at the right temp for them? Too hot or too cold can cause them issues.

yeah i gave them eceltrolytes thats what the red stuff is i put his beak so he knew were and the heat source was about 80 nice and warm and no its not shiny and alippery he just eneded up that way today and ibgot worried because it was my wifes. First try. And the chick was about 5 days old. I think it was because the chick was seperated from the hen too soon it caused stress and starved himself..
