this morning when i opened the coop door, our boss hens ran right down the ramp as usual, however i noticed one of them didn’t come out like she normally does (Ellie) . i opened the back door of the coop, picked her up off the roost and at the door to go down the ramp when i noticed she was squatting while walking towards the door. i have never seen them leave the coop from that angle before so i just assumed that’s how they walk down in the morning. i shut the door, went into the run and put out some veggies and left the run without suspecting anything was wrong. when i went out two hours later to free range them, i noticed Ellie was squatting very low to the ground. i opened the run door and they all ran out like normal except for Ellie. she limped out and tried to follow the others to the bushes and was limping so much (not applying pressure to her right foot) . we also JUST installed a thicker roost in the run that is way too high and we need to move it. i know for sure that after my dad installed it he tested it with Ellie and she jumped down probably hitting her foot on the way causing this injury. is this bumblefoot or just another injury?

we have 6 birds. 2 barred rocks, 3 colombian rocks (one never matured and she is bantam sized with next to no comb) and 1 smooth silkie.

right now i’m not even sure if keeping them is worth it because we are experiencing so many issues with our two plymouth rocks trying to rule the coop. Ellie got a comb injury recently (which is all healed now) which put her somewhere near the bottom of the pecking order so now the plymouth rocks are pecking at anyone who goes near their food and stuff. they cause me so much stress and at this point i don’t even care about the barred rocks what so ever. they bother every single other hen so much that they cower when they come near. would the best option be to give them away? my aunt is considering getting chickens this spring so it would be perfect if we could just give them to her.

i’m so so sorry for this long thing but i’m so stressed so i’m rambling

It doesn't look like she has bumble foot because no swelling. Is there a chance she could have broke her foot trying to get in the roost? Could she have gotten stung my an insect? Oraybe some leg mites or something? It wouldn't hurt to treat and quarantine her, but it doest seem like bumblefoot. When you touch her foot do you feel any hard lumps or anything? How has her appetite been? I wouldn't give her away unless you know what she has because she could get other chickens sick. If you don't care for the barred rocks too much maybe you could give them away to continue taking care of her? Good luck!
