One of my Sapphire Gems began limping a few days ago. I don't see any signs of bumblefoot, dislocations, obvious breaks, mites, or any injuries on her leg. I can pick her up and move her elbow and hip joints without her flinching. She won't put a lot of weight on her left foot though. Her toes all look normal. She was not vaccinated for Mareks, but this does not seem to be getting any worse since I noticed it. She's eating, drinking pooping normal. She does NOT like be isolated from her sisters, but I don't want her to get picked on. I have her in a 2x3 area of the run with food, water and shade where she can see them tho. I tried to let her sleep in the coop last night in her wire crate but she kept throwing herself against the top of it trying to get up on the roost with her flockmates. I ended up bringing her inside again so she'd settle down.

I wrapped her ankle with some sports wrap to help support it as it seems to be where she has the issue as she's always pecking there. It isn't noticeably swollen, but I am wondering if I should give her some baby asprin to help her.

Can someone let me know how much I should give her in her water? She has a 1 gallon waterer to drink from. Thanks for the help!

I wouldn't put it in the water. You want her to have the full dose.
She can have an 81mg low dose aspirin once or twice a day.

You may want to wrap a towel around her. I just use my left hand thumb nail to open the beak and pop meds in. You can also gently pull down on her wattles and she will open her beak.

She might just have a bad sprain from jumping down off something.
