Today I noticed my male silver pheasant was limping. He stands on one foot and holds the other on up and curled up. When he walks he really favors this foot and only slightly opens it. It is kinda like he is walking on his fist. Other than this he doesn't seem to have any other injuries and seems as active as ever. Any ideas what the problem is?

I'm sorry to even have to ask this but has he been vaccinated for Mareks Disease, either way isolate him asap as a precaution.

Discribe his roost. Is it possible he cut the bottom and doesn't want to put weight on it?Is his foot turning black?
In N.H.,Tony.
