Hi-

My Buff Orpington, Peaches, has been very listless and hanging out in the nesting box. I haven't gotten an egg from her in two days. I can pick her up and she is still content and she ate some carrot peelings that I hand fed her. This is not her normal behavior.

perhaps she is eggbound?? dont trust my judgement... has she been traumatized? btw

im not sure, when you feel her belly, can you feel an egg near pelvis? also try posting in the injuries section

I just took a good look at her and did not feel anything that is impacted I brought her in the house for a few minutes and she was in good spirits. This is a dumb question but does the egg come out of the same place as the poop?

yes it does, she is most likely broody then luckily since being egg bound results in death
