Hello!

I have five little chicks that hatched just a week ago. We received 6 Plymouth Rock barred and 2 Plymouth Rock black eggs and except for the dot on the head I can’t tell who is who!

I’m also struggling to sex these little ones, I know there’s head spots and feet colour and of course barring but as a first time chicken mum I’m confused.

I’ve attached some pictures of my fluffy little creatures in the hope someone may have an answer. Thanks in advance!

Only Sex Links and Auto Sexing birds can be sexed at hatch. Yours are too young. If you have a maintained breeding line and you breed for the genders to have different colors at hatch, then this would work, but since they are from a hatchery, its totally undependable. Post pics of the combs at 6 weeks, please.
