So i had my 9 week old chicks free ranging while i was out working with my dog, when i hear this weird noise so i go check and i see the one chick i was sure was a roo squaring off with one of my 15 week old poults. They went at it for a few seconds then eyed each other up and the little guy chased her away. So i went and picked him up and carried him for awhile trying to show him im the boss not him. I then put him down and he ran right up to my poult again this time all three poults surrounded him with my little jake fluffing up and trying to look tough but he went after her anyway my jake went at him to protect his young hen but the little roo chased them all away then let out his first attempt at a crow over and over with this proud little look. Wish i had a video recorder dang it. The poults are 5 times his body but not his ego.
