My little cochin is about 5 weeks old. I knew something was wrong with him when I got him, he was free, but I thought it was his foot. I know his toes are folded under on his foot but we discovered that it is actually his leg thats causeing his problems. Is it to late to try a fix his little leg?? And does anyone have an idea what is wrong with it?? He eats and drinks fine and hops around pretty quickly, but I'm worried cause you can tell that the good side is getting bigger and the other isn't. Plus I think he's using all his energy to cope and not enough to grow well.

i dont know if it would be to late to help hime but maybe try to put a brace on it and someone i knew had a bird like this and still to this day he has to have his brace on he is 3 with the brace he will walk normal and forage he just cant really scatch with it but other than that he is a healthy bird

Does he have problems with his toes? Because if his does and there twisted he probably has twisted toes a genetic disorder. Ummm I think it would be a genetic problem with this leg I don't think there much you can do that I know of. If I could see it personally I might be able to help, but I'm on the other side of the country

I'm not sure if it's a genetic issue, the people I got him from said that they were having issues this year with keeping the right humidity in the incubator. But I won't be breeding him anyway. I only took him cause I just felt like no one would want him. I just would like to try anything to see if it would help or not.
