Little dark dot

Some of my eggs have a little dark dot in them. What is that?

Maybe a tiny blood spot??? Some eggs develop them.

No big deal, although I do remove them when I find them (the spot - not the egg...lol).

That little dark spot you're talking is called the Blastoderm or Germination sac I believe. Its part of the normal anatomy of an egg. Perhaps that is the part that would get fertilized? either way all of my eggs have it- so I looked it up to see what it was
