Hi all,

At my work we have two little frizzle bantams; a cock and a hen. I'm not entirely sure how old they are (they were there before I started and were rescued). I've noticed with the little hen that she has big bald patches on the back of her head and down her neck, and she's bald on her underside too. She did live with two bantam cockerels (not ideal I know), but one sadly got out and was eaten by the fox. At first I put it down to her being incessantly hassled by both males. I've also treated the two of them with diatom powder over 3 weeks and then a 2 week break and then another 3 weeks and do the coop every week. I've not seen any lice on them after treating them the first time, but they did have it pretty bad then. I've not seen any at all in the house. The male is a bit of a wuss and she bullies him more than he goes at her. I know frizzles can be broody but I never see her sitting on her eggs... Moulting doesn't usually happen until late summer / early Autumn... I offer them hanging nettles and scratch foods of mealworms 3 times a week or so to prevent boredom... I've asked for a seaweed tonic to be ordered in for her as I've heard that this is good for feather condition. If anybody can offer any more advice on what I can do for the poor thing it'd be very much appreciated! Thanks so much everybody. :)
