Make sure you calibrate the thermometer/hygrometer, mine is the $7 one from Walmart and while the temp is dead on the hygrometer in off by 10%.

Thanks Cindy!! It has been forever since I have done this! On day 18 I am going to have to glue my hands to my head tho!! I don't know how you people do it!!! I know! I know! DO NOT OPEN!! I wanted to run thru the house screaming when I was 15!! And I know it's not going to be any better at 33!!

I just recently bought the LG still air and its had its ups and downs. It took me over 2 hours adjusting back a lil forward a lil to get to my desiered temp. I am trying to keep it in the most draft free place in my home which is a middle bedroom of the house. Somtimes on cold nights or cold days I have to put a towl half way over it to hold the temps. On warmer days and nights it tries to sour past 102 and I have to keep an eye on it and somtimes have to open it. So far so good thought my eggies are growing nicly inside it just has been ALOT of attention to it. I am also hand turning because I have duck and turkey eggs and they wont fit in the turner. I may upgrade later and use the LG simply as a hatcher. For now its doing its job with a little help from me..LOL

I think its 1/2 a cup of salt and 1/4 cup water in a cup , put that and the therm, humidity thing in a large plastic bag, make shure it dosnt get wet though you want to sit hte cup up so it dosnt spill. Leave it in there for 8 -12 hours and read it and it should be about 75% ...... I could be completly wrong but I coudnt find the link and thats how I remmber it.
