My little chick...Peep...is three days old today. My other eggs didn't make it. I have left her with momma (actually she was a broody so I guess she's a foster momma) They are seperate from the rest of the flock in a dog carrier inside a play-yard. Momma is crazy for little Peep. I dipped Peep's beak in water today & also in the chick starter. It seems that momma is teaching her to drink & eat. On Thursday I will be receiving 11 day olds from Ideal. I am planning on keeping her with momma until then & then putting her into the brooder with the new arrivals. Hope it works out, I think all should be OK don't you? There will only be a few days difference in the chicks.
