I got six new chicks this spring to add to my flock. They are about 9 weeks old and are a Silkie/Americana cross. I got them from an Amish farmer and was not too surprised when the little guy started crowing the other morning. I can't keep him as my neighbors have asked that I not keep any roosters (they are fine with the hens). I don't want to have to take him to an auction and would much rather give him to someone who will give him a good home. He is a good looking bird, I just can't keep him. I am having trouble uploading a picture, but can text it if anyone is interested.
