Live fish or mealworms for duck treats?

Meal worms are like crack to ducks! If mine see me taking that plastic container with the green lid in my hands they come running from all over the place. So far i have fed them only dried worms, which one can buy in bulk (11lbs, $50) on the internet, but i will try to set up a meal-worm farm here as soon as the weather permits.
Other treats for my ducks are thawed peas, iceberg-salad, apples, grapes and tomatoes. My Runner Ducks would jump through hoop on fire for tomatoes.
As for the life fish i have no clue where to buy those, but heart the words feeder-fish several times.

I'd go with mealworms. Feeder fish are often full of parasites due to improper care, plus, as vertebrates, they're capable of feeling pain. I'm always one to recommend not feeding live vertebrates to anything that will eat something else. Give your duck some mealworms (live or dried is fine, pet stores sell them), and some peas, and you will have a very happy duck.

So something like this is right?

I buy feeder fish and ghost shrimp for my ducks from time to time. They go completely berserk whenever I do it, and it's always fun to watch. When I do it, I usually get feeder guppies (.19 each at Pet Supermarket) and throw in a few feeder goldfish since they are easy to see. I put them in their water dish and let them at it.

If you eat your ducks' eggs, however, keep these feedings to a minimum. I only do it a few times a month. I don't know how much it would take, but I have heard that too frequent of feeder fish treats can taint the taste of the eggs.
