I have two 11 week old aylesbury/pekin ducks, and I was just thinking about starting feeder insect colonies...
I thought perhaps a worm farm, or mealworms.
What about other insect feeders? Wax worms? super worms? Typical ones you get for reptiles, could they have those? What do you all use?
With mealworms, I also wondered how often they can have them, of course in moderation- and I assume they are safe to be fed live?

They love little fish up to several inches long. You can grow something like mosquito fish (Gambusia), guppies or other live-bearers that reproduce quickly in any outdoor container or capture them from a lake or pond with a minnow trap. Speaking of mosquitos, they will gobble up mosquito larvae where they find them. They get that bill clapping thing going to creates a current and filter them out of the water.

I have been wanting to buy a 100 or so minnows to feed my buddies in their pools. Any issue with the ducks getting sick from pet store feeder fish?
I'd imagine that's unlikely, but you could always quarantine them in a tank/tub for a few weeks to make sure they're healthy
