Livestock gaurd dog

The better of my two dogs is a shepherd cross rescue mutt from the pound. She's a lovely dog- useless against aerial predators, but keeps the ground predators at bay. She was a lot cheaper than her purebred mate and is more reliable by far. Neither of my dogs is actually is an LGD (livestock guardian dog), but as you say just their presence is a huge deterrent.
