Please help I love chickens and my little ones but there is a very good chance I'm moving to North Dakota up by the border so I making how would I keep my chickens alive in extreme cold like that,

There are folks on the boards in Alaska, Canada, etc. I don't know how active the state threads might be for them, but you can take a look. There are also lots of older threads on keeping birds warm during the winter, just cruise back through the threads a while and read a lot. Basically, it's the same as any climate. They need shelter from the elements, enough feed to generate body warmth, and enough space to stay physically and mentally healthy. Chickens are actually quite hardy and do well as long as they're not windy or wet. They can do sub-zero temps and not have any damage.
