Just completed a protected run for the girls, for when i cannot be outside to watch them; Too many ferral cats, one lives under my shed. Sat and watched the girls while I ate dinner. They wrestled for the same smalll patch of real estate, for a dirt bath, for almost 45 minutes. My barred rock, the smaller of the 2 was hunkered down In this hole, like a soldier in a fox hole, and would not let the large new hampshire in. They dug up a grub and it was an all out chase around the run to see who was to get it, the new hampshire won that battle. I've tried feeding the yogert, lettuce, grapes, cheerios, oatmeal, cooked eggs, and various other items they would not even look at it. They went after this grub like it was a fillet. It was rather entertaining.
