Locations for brooders

Hello Fellow Chicken Lovers,
Does anyone have ideas on the location to keep a brooder for the first few weeks. Inside is more of an option for me but would they be constantly yelling and drive you crazy or are they pretty quiet? (chicks that is) If anyone has good ideas I would love to hear them.....

I usually brood my babies in my basement family room for the first two weeks and the noise doesn't bother me at all ~ however ~ after a couple of weeks the dust starts to build up! I then move them to a larger brooder in my pole building.

My brooder is in my sewing room. I like the noises they make.....hate the dust!!

Welcome to BYC!!I keep my chicks in my garage. It really depends on the chicks, my first chicks I got were not loud at all but the second chicks I got were crazy and loud. I've had chicks that were loud and chicks that were quiet it also depends on how many chicks you're planning on getting.

Wow, thanks for all the location ideas. Now I'm not worried about the noise as much as I'm worried about the dust. I've grown up all my life with my family having parrots and their dust but I hope chicks wont be worse. Anyway, Thanks Everybody for the ideas

We keep ours in the house for the first few weeks, then out to the feed shed.
