What temperature does lockdown need to be stabilized at? I can consistently keep it at 100 or 102. Which is best? Humidity is staying at approx 72% since lockdown. Prior Humidity was 25-30% throughout first 17 days.
I have 11/12 strong viable eggs... :celebrate

Also, should one or both vent holes be plugged? I thought I saw someone say that one needs to remain open for air exchange???

Don't plug the holes, and if you're using the digital model the temperature it's reading is at the top of the egg. I left mine at 100 and it did fine it wavered on it's own as chicks started to hatch. If your humidity starts to decrease too much you can partially cover one of the holes.

Thank you for answering... temp is holding a 100 but I am having trouble holding the humidity above 69/70
this is only my second hatch and I didn't have issue with the humidity not staying about 72-75% If I move the incubator into a warmer room in the house, would it help? Living in southeast tx, our outside humidity usually runs really high. We are having an unusual cool front that is affecting our H %.
