Lockdown is today with hatch day on Sunday. This is my second time to incubate. I did a staggered hatch so last weekend was hatch day for that batch, but I messed it up and only got on chick who desperately needs another fuzzy to play with. I am hatching silkies. Anyone else going into lockdown?

I did 3 hatches last year, so this is my 4th. Most are RIR/Buff crosses, a few Barr Rocks, Americana (did I spell that right?), one silver lace and a couple Buckeyes. About a 1/3rd are from my hens and the other came from 2 other friends.

Good look with your hatch

mine are due tomorrow....

Twin eggs????? I was following the one person on here who had the twin silkies that didn't make it because she was out of town on a family emergency. I have watched the video link someone posted of helping the twins out. I think it was wantmorechickens. How do you know when to start helping? Or is that the million dollar question?

I'm in lockdown as of this morning. Was so shocked to see that one of my turkey eggs had pipped. Now I have major humidity issues... it's at 89%. I have taken paper towels and soaked up the water to try to decrease it and thought it had worked when it dropped to 75%, but it bounced back up to 89%. RRRR!!!!
