lockdown question

We will be going into lockdown on Friday and was wondering if that HAS to be a specific time??

We put our eggs in around 3:30 PM on March 21 and 22 so Friday, April 8 should be lockdown for the first set anyway, do we need to wait till 3:30 PM or can lockdown be done anytme of the day??

Also how important is it to be there that first day of lockdown to keep an eye on temp and humidity??

I would do it sometime after 3:30 that evening.

it is not that critical, you can do it a day earlier or a day later.. no big deal..

I was having a problem getting my hatchers to stabilize this time, so I waited till day 19 to lock down.

There are plenty of threads that talk about people who forgot to take auto turners out and chicks have hatched.

I don't think it is crutial for it to be at an exact time. You just want the humidity up so that the chicks don't shrink wrap.
