For hatching:

I have
rubber shelf liner to go on the wire
Egg carton to set eggs in

I read something about cheese cloth.. Is that needed?

Anything else?

For the brooder:
I have
chick starter
grit
pine shavings
marbles for waterer (need to get)
Braggs apple cider vinegar - what dose?

Is there a vaccine or medication I need? Anything else?

Looks like you have everything under control. Just remember to put marbles in the water dish or set it up in a way that the chicks can't drown in it. A thermometer is useful too, start with 95 degrees in the brooder and drop 5 degrees each week. Sorry if this is stuff you already know. Happy hatching.

What's the best way to set up the light/heat source?

We're using a wire dog cage. Hang the bulb through the wire. We have a few days but want to get it done this weekend.
