I have 4 different thermometers in my foam bator (with fan & turner), in 4 different spots.

A digital one that came with the bator, along the back edge where there's space between the bator wall and the turner frame. It always reads cooler, like 97-98.

Also along that edge is a wireless accurite sensor, standing up in the corner, so it reads hotter, sometimes hitting 102 for a few hours overnight, but usually 100 most of the time.

A mercury one on cardboard and plastic that came with the bator. It sits on top of the eggs, not directly under the fan or heating element. It usually reads 99.5-100.

An analog dial one made for reptile habitats. Harder to read, but usually just under the 100 mark. It sits in the 'valley' between a row of eggs in the turner, just a hair lower than the mercury one.

Now that it's obviously too late to turn back the clock, does this sound like a viable range of temps?

It warmed up a teeny bit the past few days. Must be generating their own heat, so we've been opening the vents more when we leave for work so the heat doesn't build up too much. We had lots of lively embryos at day 14, but pretty dark now, since we're doing ameraucana and marans eggs.
