If it's completely dry and fluffy I would take it out and put it in the brooder with the light of course. If not I think you could leave it until the others hatch. I think 2 or 3 days is how long it can be without food and be fine. This might sound silly but if you think it's to lonely in the brooder place a stuffed animal ( small)in there with it. It will probably cuddle it and feel as if it's not alone. Yes I've done this before...Hello,
This is my first hatch. I'm hatching 5 Silkie chicken eggs. Only one chick has hatched. I have some others rolling around and pipping but this lil one seems so lonely. Should I take it out?
It works it gives the chick something to snuggle against and just have something there so it don't feel alone and constantly chirping.I’ve totally thought about the stuffed animal all ready! I don’t want it to be lonely. But, I have a second one that just hatched. Hoping the 3rd is right behind it.
