Day 21 was 9:00 AM this morning. I had three eggs in lockdown, and three more due in 4 days. One of the three due today is a dud.....I wasn't sure so I left it in, but pretty sure now that it's a clear. One pipped yesterday and hatched overnight and the third is doing NOTHING. I"m very worried about the lone chick. Since he was long dry and no one else had pipped, I pulled him out. He has a mirror, but he seems depressed. I have some older chicks in the brooder too, but they can't see each other due to the divider. Those chicks are about 4 weeks old and standard, this little guy is a bantam. HUGE size difference.

I"m afraid the other egg isn't going to hatch. These were shipped eggs (3 weren't even fertile) and they were pretty banged up in the mail, so it's a miracle I got even one. I guess I"m just nervous, and REALLY hoping my other egg does SOMEthing soon!

Give it lots of cuddles. I had a lone chick for about five days last hatch, before my next batch started coming, she was happy for those few days, and with all the cuddles, she loved me! Definitely find it some chicks soon though, one day olds maybe.
