Lone Duckling

Ok, so I have one duck egg due 6-8 Feb, and 4 due on 13/14th feb (fingers crossed). any tips when (if) duckling no 1 comes? it will be alone for a week with just me for company. They are Welsh Harlequins btw. Any help appreciated. TIA

Provide a mirror for company to limit imprinting on you. Wait until the second hatch are several days to a week old before integrating them. Good luck.

Thank for the swift response. All eggs were shipped so it's just fingers crossed really. The one due earlier is the only one to survive my first shipment of six, had one make it to day 10, others looked infertile, and most had saddled airsacs. so I ordered another 12 so the 2 I had left wouldn't be lonely. I have 4 looking good, and 2/3 not sure yet.
