Lone rooster

I have just lost all my hens to predators in the coop and ranging area. Mostly raccoons, possums, and owls. My rooster has survived. Will he live contentedly with no hens? He has been crowing much more than usual. Is it best to keep him alone, get more hens, or cull him? I hate to even ask that question. I'm so brokenearted about losing 18 hens in one week.

I would get him more hens, if you are happy to get them.
It's not very good for him to be on his own, and I certainly wouldn't be able to cull. Your decision, but I wouldn't leave him on his own.

I would make your current setup more predator proof, (if possible) and then get some more hens.

I've read about people raising a lone rooster as a house pet, but I can't imagine a rooster who's had a harem being happy without one.

You poor thing, been there and know how rotten you feel. Go get some more. More chicks, or point of lay birds, or even someones older girls...go get them. It will help.

Create a fort Knox and get more hens. I have lost chickens to fox and weasel. Unfortunately there is a learning curve sometimes.
