Lonely rooster

I have 9 chickens 4 of them are roosters. One I will be getting rid of for food. Two silkies are brothers and seem to be getting along fine. The last is a houdin. I did not know he was going to be a boy when I get him. I have him seperated in his own coop but he was bullied so much he seems traumatized. He hides constantly and I don't know what to do for him. I dont want him to be lonely. It is hard to find pullets in my area. I was thinking about getting some chicks for him but I dont know how roosters would do with chicks. I tried putting one of the chickens I already had in with him and that didnt work.

If you go the route of chicks, I'd advise waiting to introduce them to him until they're laying (you're going to need more females anyways as the ratio rn isn't good). Otherwise you can soup him too (you really don't need 3 boys for that few girls) or rehome him

I have the same thing going on. So I bought some new chicks and will wait until they are 2 or 3 months old and introduce them. I bring them outside and let them play next to his pin so that they are fimlilair with each other.. then in a month or 2 I will put them in while I'm outside working near to keep an eye on the a fmake sure they are being sweet. We just did this "kind of" with the other polish rooster. We put him in the outside area next to the main chicken yard then put him in with a few girls (i bought the girls when they were 2 months old. So we gave it a month for them to grow a bit more and to get used to each other. at night and the next day kept an eye on them. It went fine. The general rule is to wait until they are close to the same size or are "adult" age. Just make sure you take time and let them see each other for a good 2 weeks first. Dog kennel/pin.. keep them safe but close. I hope that helps any.
