I have been reading "creeping" backyardchickens for a while. I am a new owner of laying chickens, however sometimes I think they own me! My daughter (and her dad and I) raised broilers for FFA for 6 years and she actually put herself through 2 years of college with her earnings. We currently have 7 girls who are housed in a coop tractor due to a lovely pair of grey kite hawks that nest in the trees behind our house as well as coyotes.
