How has everyone been??? I came by today to comment on the Animal Hoarding Chicken show with Nifty but prior to that I hadn't posted on BYC in the better part of a year probably...
What's everyone been up to? Anything epic happen while I was away? Everyone still here?
I moved from RI to VT about 6 months ago leaving my small historic farm in RI that was falling apart all around us. No more chickens, I'm now on a small city lot in a tiny town probably 4 blocks wide but I still have my rabbits! We moved up here because we were really close with some other rabbit friends who encouraged us to move closer to them but things went really sour not long after the move. My husband was supposed to be transffered with both jobs from RI/MA to VT but both transfers fell through so we are pretty well stuck. It's been a nightmare with a capital N. I love our town, I love the school I put my kids in (we were previously home schoolers), and I adore my little house that I picked out with it's 8'X16' fully insulated barn/workshop that is now my rabbitry but it's certainly been an adventure. We are now in the deciding process of whether or not to move back to the RI/MA area or to stay here.
I just took a trip not that long ago to VA for a fiber festival where I went with my best friend to sell bunnies and teach spinning lessons, the trip itself was sort of a bust but we had a blast!
