from Ohio. So glad you joined. Congrats and good luck with your chicks. Remember to dip each beak in the water when you get them. After that long trip, if I were you, I would put some Vitamins & Electrolytes in their water for an extra boost. thumbsup

OMG OMG OMG OMG SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

So let me tell you....
I went to bed last night a little dejected and sad, but decided that the chicks would be fine. I got up this morning and was having my morning coffee... and the phone rang! No one calls this early on a Sunday morning

Low and behold, it was a post office hub FIVE CITIES over from us!!!! Would I like to come and get my chicks??? WOULD I?
My calm husband drove me there, and we were back home by 9am!!!

I didn't have to wait... and now my heart is just busting!

You Guys... I ordered 4 black australorps; 4 columbian wyandottes; 4 dark cornish; and balanced the rest of the order with 13 cornishX for meat. (I figured if I was going to get into this chicken loving life, might as well jump in with both feet and plan on the whole shabang!) Anyways, I did tell them that i would take substitutions... what the heck, right?
So what I got was: 4 black australorps; 5 columbian wyandottes; 3 dark cornish; 13 cornishX; and 2 that I have no clue! And at this point I don't care what they are.

I got 27!!!

All of them alive, got their beaks dipped in water and away they went! I have not been back to BYC all day! We have been so busy falling in love and watching the most magical show!

Thanks to each and everyone of you, for your kindness and best wishes

All tuckered out with bulging crops... they just face planted and fell asleep.
