I got this rooster from Sandhill Preservation Center. He was with my black orpingtons, but he is clearly not a black orpington. I looked through the catalog and the only bird I can find that even comes close is the longcrower. But he says they have the occasional golden neck and hackle feathers, these are silver. He is 4 months old, matured much quicker than my orpingtons, was the first to crow (not especially long) and has a bigger comb than the others. Could he be a mix? I need to butcher or rehome him.

How many toes does he have? I have seen some birchen like dorkings come out from sand hill

Denizli are a Birchen colored Longcrower, however that guy is definitely not pure Denizli, and Sandhill doesn't carry them.

Ok, I just sent them an email. But if they take too long to respond he may already be in my freezer. He's a breeding machine! This morning he was mating with my birchen dorking. I can't have him messing up my lavender orpington project all all my chickens are together right now.
