Welcome to BYC, and good luck in establishing and maintaining your new flock. Do you show or field trial your dachshunds ?
Hi Sourland,
I did not show or field trial my dachshunds. However, I have been training and showing in Obedience for many years. I have had German Shepherds since the 70’s. Now I have just one. She has won the Leave It and the Sit-Stay at least 6 times at the Iowa Pet Expo . She has a C.D. , and so did the other one who passed away in November. Both were also Canine Good Citizens. So—I have been busy with all kinds of dog events for a long time! I have never gone beyond the C.D.

@Longdogs4me They are from my Naked Neck rooster over the Crested Cream Legbar (CCLB) hen's. The cross is producing light colored green egg's.

The Naked Neck is a chicken breed that has less neck and body feathering and is a large dual-purpose breed.

Thank you . That is interesting. I talked with a man on FB and he has a Naked Neck and said something about his birds had all dark meat. What does that mean? Looks like I have a lot to learn!

Most likely because his are cross bred to one of those other breed's that are all black (feather's, comb, wattles, skin, and meat).

Welcome to the flock. I also like the created types of chickens, though I have never had any. (yet) . I'm in the burbs so we have a 5 chicken limit and no roos, so sadly that limits my options some. Good luck with your current flock, and please share if you get more.
