they all look to be some sort of a variation of the red colored frangers. 2 boys and 1 girl... that could also account for some of the size variation.
once i figure out how to post pictures (try is more like it..) i will post a picture of the smallest runt ranger ever, "lil homie." she is a bantam sized chicken. but is a 17 week old freedom ranger meat bird. go figure..
Nope, shes a rhode island red hen..The post office mistakingly delivered my box of Freedom roos to a lady who ordered ( from another company) a box of rhode hens...she had mixed them altogether thinking she just got another box..when she figured out the second box wasnt her laying hen box, we had to try and pick out 26 , two day old chicks...We did pretty good, I got two of heres, and she got two of mine..I picked up my two from her today, and she let me keep the laying hen for a pet., and to compare size for ya all.. So I know shes a laying hen, probaly a rhode island red! Good old pos office,LOL!
I don't remember my RIR's having that many feathers at 3 weeks. I can't look at the pictures though because they are on my husbands computer and it is acting goofy right now.
Ya know, she could be any laying hen, it was just a guess that she was a rir..however, she came from a batch of ordered laying hens from a hatchery that does not sell freedom rangers, so who knows what she is, maybe she looks like a fredom because shes been raised with them , LOL!!!
I moved them all out today to their outside pen..Wed they will be one month, I will add pictures. We went camping for 4 days and I swear they got HUGE while we were gone!
