I think it looks weird. of course we don't know which gal it is from.

Trying to think of a way to describe how it feels. It is rough, I can feel the color transition (if that makes sense).

We have had hens in the past who laid eggs like the ones you have. Speckled with the speckles a different color and raised. the eggs were fine, in fact my nephew loved them and we would save the speckled ones for him.
The hens didn't ever seem to have problems either. I don't know if it is a calcium thing or what causes it. However, it does seem to be fairly common.

That’s a very pretty egg! The rough spots are from the extra color deposits. Think of it like painting. You paint a piece of paper one solid color and then go back with a different color to put dots on it. When it dries you will be able to feel the dots on the paper when you run your hand over it.
