So my babies are having trouble hatching, 3 have already died after pipping, or while zipping

But I have been able to save 1 by helping it out, and while in the process of helping I took this picture.

I thought is was worth sharing....

Keep it wet... and wet that membrane to be certain that there are no longer blood vessels running through it.

Thanks Mahonri, that baby is already completely out of the shell, but now I'm worried about the others.

. I wish I had thought to put the egg down to take the pic, I would have loved to have been able to enter it in the fair, but my grubby fingers are in the picture.

If something like this happened, how would you recommend keeping it wet? Would misting it with a spray bottle work? I was just curious because I am incubating for the first time now and trying to be prepared.

if he makes it I will, but he's still very wet, and drying in the bator, but he also seems weak, or at least not right, not like the other chicks when they first hatched. I can't explain whats different, because I don't know, he just doesn't seem right???

Wrap in warm wet paper towel, but leave a small opening for it to breath.
