Look what came to visit last night

So just after putting out catfood for the outside cats, I see a couple of the indoor cats very excited at the backdoor. Hmmm, gotta check this out. Look outside and see this guy. It's terrified of the door, but once it was open it calmed right down. I layed down on the floor with the camera and went nose to camera to nose with it. Wasn't fast enough to catch the cat going nose to nose with it. I think this is the same one that's been hanging around for a few months. Seemed totally unconcerned with me or the cats, but everytime I touched the slider it ran.

My dear kitty Fossey used to play with one of these guys. They really had fun. They would 'fake chase' each other, both clear getting a kick out of it. No one got hurt. She was unusually accepting of all other species though.

I was cleaning off the top of a roof of a falling down shed, pulling a tarp covered in leaves from the top of a ladder. When I came face to face with one, the boys heard my girlie scream at the bottom on the property and thought I must have fallen. The varmit took off with my scream.

And my kids still laugh about that scream

Dang free loader possum! They will eat eggs and on occasionally chickens. At least the cat food is an easier meal.
