My broody duck finally hatched her first set of eggs. She had a 100% hatch rate !!

She hatched them in the yard and I had to round them up to put in a pen. She definitely was against that idea- she bite me twice!

It was a big surprise- About the last week I was worried about that hen because I never saw her come out to eat or drink. She is my first broody anything and this is her first season laying. She started sitting not to long after she started laying.

I have another hen sitting but I'm not sure hers will hatch she gets on and off the nest allot and is trying to sit about 15-20 eggs. They started sitting within a week of each other so if hers don't hatch by next week I'll clean out her nest. I know at least a few are rotten now.
