I've not written in quite a while but some that may be on geese as pets or geese 4 pets list will know.
On December 23rd of this year I lost my wonderful little buddy of 19+ years Jordan.
He had a wonderful day on Sunday swimming in the pond with his sister/mate Reebok.
He passed away very suddenly Monday morning. His vet Dr. Riggs suspects his little heart gave out as it appears he died doing the good morning wing flap greeting that they do.
At any rate Reebok will be 20 yrs in May and Oliver is at least 11 that I know of as he is a rescue.
Reebok is still quite active. Oliver is not so much. He has had just about every treatment available to get him more mobile.
Currently he is receiving MSM which may be helping.
I am looking for a older female goose in need of a good home.
Possibly one that no longer lays eggs or the owner doesn't have time for.
The yard is a half acre fenced 5 ft high. There is a larger pond. They have an insulated, heated barn.
Reebok needs a little partner to wander around the yard with and graze.
They get duck, pellets, corn, crumbles, a couple heads of romain, carrot and apple every evening with a slice of wheat bread.
If you have a gentle older girl that needs a new home please contact me.
I am in the Cleveland/Lorain/Medina Ohio area.
My biggest concern is temperament. I do not want Reebok picked on in her own home but the new goose would be well taken care of.
Thanks
Linda
