I'm not looking for bantams. I love the ginormous floofy chickens. I have all kinds of chickens but i'm looking for a brahma roo and possibly a couple of hens. I do not currently have a roo for my ladies. Just a very opportunistic duck drake.... I think the ladies would prefer compatible species attention.... I'm working on separating my ducks from my hens at night. I dig the dark blue/black ones, but will take whatever and love it. I have kids so that's why I've settled on a Brahma rooster as they help me with the flock. Anyone? :D

If your drake is trying to mate with chicken hens, he needs to be separated. Drakes have penises and roosters do not, so chicken hens can be severely injured and even killed from drakes mating with them.
Have you checked any hatcheries? Many of them sell brahmas.

I'm trying to avoid shipping as I only want to add a few this go round, as I'm also planning to get geese and I'd like the rooster chick to bond with the goslings.
