Looking for "Chickeneers" in Columbia, SC

Hi, I'm TJenkins and am just beginning my journey into owning my own chickens. I have a friend incubating my choices and will have them by 1 November. I'd love to talk with people in the Columbia, SC/Irmo area who are already raising chickens. I have lots to learn and have about googled myself to death . Thanks for the welcomes. Anyone near by enough that I might be able to visit and see your coops.etc to get a better idea of how I need to get started? Reading all about it is one thing.
