I have a coop built for 20 chickens at 4 sqft per bird. Chicken math has occurred and I now have 29. I want to build on to my coop. It currently is 5' high with 4 roosts. It has two chicken doors, one on the South side and one on the West side. No human access door. It Sits Three Feet Off The ground. I want to use this part for roosting only. I need to add separate quarters for my Polish and Silkies, separate area for chicks and a quarantine/hospital area. I would like to have a separate area to store feed, litter and supplies. It needs to have a run where the bantams are separate from the big girls. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

I would make an addition and make separators for each room you want. I would also separate the run into sections. Other than that I don't know anything else that can be done.

Hope this helped!

Sounds to me like you need to build a whole new coop, a walk in model, with separate 'rooms'.

Got a pic of your existing coop, inside and out?
