Our welsummers are very dark - our stock is non hatchery...We've been just delighted with the colors! We ship them frequently and folks rave on about how dark they are...

We've been blessed with our flock and would love to bless others with hatching eggs as well.

I would recommend bargain any day! I ordered some welsummer eggs and they are very dark. One of them was even as dark as the black copper marans I ordered from her. Give me a second and I can upload a picture of them.

ETA: Sorry about the crappy photo, but all I have is my camera phone. The eggs are a lot darker than what they look like, the sun was very bright and lighten them some.


The Welsummer eggs are the top three.
