I am new to incubating, I did my reading here and bought hovabator 1588 and purchased the turner . I bought 3 additional monitors each of humidity and temp. gauges! My first round with 20 silkies I did the dry hatch method described here on byc , I was able to get 1 out of 20!
I've read enough here and gotten great advice! This time I started with 27 eggs, kept humidity at 25 to 35 percent the first 18 days then boosted it to 40-50 percent for lockdown , today day 22 we woke to 3 eggs pipped! What is going on?

Thanks for the reply, I am wondering if part of my problem was I don't know what our humidity is to begin with?

Crack open all the unhatched eggs this time and describe what you see. When they died in the process of incubation can be a clue. May need to raise temp if pips are late, also how much weight are your eggs losing? I don't watch humidity at all. Just go with how fast the air cell is growing. Every room, incubator, and season will make a difference.
