Looking for female ringneck dove

Hello
I would like to get a female ringneck dove companion for my male. I live in arkansas and i don't find a dove breeder here. And i've searched online, asked my veterinarian and friends if they know of one.
I won't get one shipped to me after 2 bad experiences. I live in a town of 2000 people. The only local pet store is Petco. A 3 hour drive to a large city is not practical.
I don't have Facebook so i don't know if that would be helpful.

Check with animal shelters near you. I have gotten several of my doves from shelters. Check with Pet finder too. The problem with doves is you can' t tell gender by looking, and if you end up with another male, they usually will fight. Good luck.

If you're still looking (or for anyone else looking) please consider Palomacy at https://www.pigeonrescue.org/. I think they always have birds needing adoption. I adopted a female ringneck through them a few years back.
