It's not just about shipping. There are all sorts of tangled regulations for international shipping of live animals (which apply to live embryos). It's a big huge deal, which is why the importers of coveted breeds get so much money for a single unsexed chick. They earned it and folks are willing to pay because most of us have no idea how to navigate the red tape, lack the resources to pay for that, and even if we were knowledgeable and well-financed, don't want it that bad. So yeah... it might make a good business for you if you're savvy and ambitious and can create a market, but if you just want a pretty chicken that lays blue eggs, probably not worth it. It's sad, wish it wasn't that way, but it is.
