Still looking for some pullets, I know it's a long shot here, we are near (south of) Lacrosse WI.
Hoping for btown egg layers,, RIR, Buff Orpintons, Rocks,
Not to fussy.
Let me know what you have
Thanks!

I have been checking, seems like they are a bit difficult right now to find in this area.
I suppose I am "slow" seems like I use to find them earlier in the year.
I'll have to be patient and keep looking I suppose.
Thanks

Might have some for you. We have a pen of young hatchery Speckled Sussex and Whitmore Welssummers. They are still a month or two from laying.

How many and what quality are you looking for? What would you pay? As chicks these were $5 each and we have feed in them...

Would you rather split a box of chicks in the spring? We are hoping to get more chicks then.

I would be specifically interested in the Welsummers, and would only be looking to add about 5 or 6.
I'm not sure what to tell you on price, you will have to decide what you need however when they are advertised (not lately) in this area they fo for 5 to 6 dollars.
I don't know exactly where you are and what the market would be like there.
We are looking for "family egg production" we are still new to chickens so are not showing them or selling eggs. But wow do we enjoy watching the little hens we do have (a few bantams) and finding an occassional egg.
My little bantam hens quit laying this summer and we really miss the fresh eggs.

Edited to add, you could email me with your location and what you would need for 4 -6 whatever you might have available and we would see how it goes.

thanks

Will email when I get home, the son agrees we could have 3 Welsummers we could part with. Will send photos, we can talk price there.

Be aware they are 12 weeks and a couple months from laying.

If you wanted 5-6 birds, the Sussex are pretty and should lay a creamy colored egg. Will include pics for your review, just in case.

You want a Welsummer rooster?

Check the posts in the "Where are you section" where some of the Wisconsin folks post.....the last few posts are adressing the issue = WI chickens, laying brown eggs. Don't remember who posted though
