Hi everyone....
After two failed attempts to hatch eggs from my friend that we thought were fertile....we need hatching eggs. My poor Harriet has been trying so hard for 7 weeks to make babies out of duds. If you know anyone who has hatching eggs in the Portland, Salem or Vancouver area please send info.
We prefer Rhode Islands, Leghorns or Wyandotts. However, would take other traditional breeds. I am not interested in Americaunas as we have too many of them right now.
Also, has anyone every given a broody hen, day old chicks as a way to avoid her sitting on eggs for the next 21 days? Is that an alternative method?
