My Swedish blue duck “Gilbert” has angel wings and earlier today we walked out and both of her wings were bleeding, I have not had a bleeding duck until now and am looking for some help on how to care for her.

I have ducks but have not had an issue like this. However, I am a human doctor who also worked for small animal vets in my pre medical years. I would get Hibiclens at the pharmacy in the wound care isle. It is what we use to scrub before surgery but it works really well to clean up wounds. The generic is fine too. It kills all bacteria, viruses, yeast, and fungus. Have you seen the way to soak ducks? A 5 gallon bucket with a hole cut in the lid for their head to stick out? I'd remove any feathers dangling so they don't hurt or get pulled out. Then soak for 10-15 minutes in tepid water with a good squirt of Hibiclens. I'd isolate her till she's healed or feeling much better. If you soak once to twice a day, it should stop infection.

Can you tell where the bleeding is actually coming from? One of mine had bleeding from a pin feather (I think that’s what it was) and it soaked in to the feathers and made it look like way more blood than it actually was. I’d try to find a way to stop the bleed and treat if need be. Best of luck
